(WASHINGTON, D.C.) TargetSmart Communications officially launched its voter file matched ad segments in Facebook today, providing powerful data points for Democratic and progressive organizations and campaigns to reach voters digitally in 2016.

“We’re the first political data provider in the country to digitally match the national voter file, including modeled voter segments, to Facebook users,” TargetSmart CEO Tom Bonier said. “This leap forward in digital targeting will allow campaigns at all levels of the ballot to communicate directly with exactly the voters they need to win.”

TargetSmart has matched over 191 million voter file records to Facebook users. These voters are included in pre-defined ad segments on partisanship, turnout score, donation history, issue support, and other demographics that are now available through the Facebook Ad Manager platform. Custom universes can also be provided and loaded into the system.
