Paula Kowalczuk

Paula has been a leader in the political data industry for more than 25 years. An original owner of American Strategies Inc. with Jeff Ferguson, Paula partnered with Steve and Drew Brighton to create Target Smart a decade ago.

Her experience has had her at the forefront of the industry for many years. She has held various positions in fundraising, issue advocacy, direct marketing and sales working as a development and marketing specialist for several nonprofit organizations and political candidates.

She has successfully designed and managed, fundraising, grassroots and grasstops campaigns for the Children’s Defense Fund, People for the American Way, former U.S. Rep Barney Frank of Massachusetts, former U.S. Sen John Kerry of Massachusetts and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Originally from Newark, N.J., Paula has two grown children, is a graduate of Northeastern University and lives with her husband, who is a city councilman, in Takoma Park, Md.
