School’s out for summer? Not at TargetSmart!

TargetSmart continues to grow and with that growth come fresh new faces and ideas. Three college interns have joined the TargetSmart team this summer, working on a variety of projects with some of TargetSmart’s seasoned professionals. Let’s meet them!

Alex SongAlex Song – Alex found out about TargetSmart at a DC internship fair, and thought it would be a great way to combine his background in statistics with his interest in politics. “Interning at TargetSmart seemed like a valuable opportunity to experience the 2016 election cycle from a unique perspective, and to learn more about the behind-the-scenes work that is necessary for effective progressive advocacy.” Alex is set to graduate from Duke University in May 2017 with a degree in Public Policy.

Michelle Wasserman – Michelle wanted to look for a company that took a different and unique approach to politics and policy. “After speaking with the staff, it was easy for me to see that TargetSmart was taking the type of unique approach to politics I was looking for.” Michelle will graduate from the University of Delaware in May 2017 with a degree in Public Policy.

Nathaniel Cohen – Nathaniel first learned about TargetSmart when he was attending the Campaign Management Institute at American University. Tom Bonier (TargetSmart’s CEO) was one of the program coordinators and mentioned TargetSmart. “It seemed like an interesting company. I checked out the website and saw a posting about internships and decided to apply.” Nathaniel graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a BA in Political Science.
