Senior Digital Media & Advertising Manager

The Senior Digital Media and Advertising Manager works with TargetSmart’s Digital Services team to oversee the managed services and self-service use of its proprietary Media Buying Platform (MBP). In this role, the Senior Digital Media and Advertising Manager creates and implements media programs for clients, including buying and negotiating media contracts and overseeing the customer experience to ensure alignment with client goals. As Senior Manager, this role supervises media buyers on this team and coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless client experience with the MPB. They are responsible for owning the relationships with clients for their programmatic campaigns.  This role reports to the Director of Digital Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and design digital media efforts for TargetSmart’s managed services clients, focusing on strategic planning, buying, and reporting.
  • Create fully integrated media plans for clients, focusing on campaign goals and resources for progressive, non-profit, and labor union clients.
  • Provide clients with regular reports and insights into campaign performance, highlighting successes, trends, and recommendations for optimization.
  • Oversee all elements of the managed-service and self-service customer experience, including answering questions, surfacing/escalating/resolving issues, and providing excellent customer communication.
  • Lead daily pacing meetings, assign follow ups to media buyers and escalate issues with Director of Digital Services as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with clients and grow the relationship by adding new services and growing customer engagements.
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with outside vendors to execute digital campaigns, as well as manage outside relationships in the field to ensure the accurate portrayal of TargetSmart’s products and digital media services.
  • Produce and report on digital buying and marketing metrics to leadership to recommend platform and strategy optimizations.
  • Oversee Digital Media Buyers in the department to ensure compliance, campaign alignment, timelines, and budgets.
  • Maintain relationships with technical and client service counterparts at TargetSmart’s distribution partners and troubleshoot delivery issues with those partners, as required, including the Internal Ad Ops and Development teams, to ensure campaign execution.
  • Continually develop skills and knowledge on digital and media buying trends to advise clients and provide tailored suggestions for campaigns and goals.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Experience working with progressive candidates, non-profits, and labor unions.
  • Proficiency in programmatic and other relevant advertising platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present ideas and strategies to clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Trade Desk Edge certification and other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
