Junior Data Analyst Job Duties:

  • As a member of the production team deliver quality data products in a timely manner.
  • Manage time to meet deadlines and other internal or client-driven timelines.
  • Submit, document, track and monitor data processing jobs.
  • Continuously monitor all data processes to ensure seamless process flow.
  • Build data processing workflows to streamline production processes.

Accountant II

Accountant II

The Staff Accountant will manage the day to day accounting operations of TargetSmart Communications. Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and providing support to associate level staff. Accountant will perform all monthly reporting functions, as well as bank reconciliations and payroll entry. Staff accountant reports to the Controller and will assist Controller in the budgeting process and other duties as necessary.

Data Privacy and Compliance Manager

DATA PRIVACY AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER

The Data Privacy and Compliance Manager at TargetSmart works with our clients and business partners on education about and tracking of the data security program.  As a data company, TargetSmart is committed to the safe keeping of the data we handle and to helping organizations we work with to do the same.  The Data Security Compliance Manager reports to Frank Worshek and works as part of the Client Services Team day-to-day out of the Washington, DC office.  This position helps to drive the overall data security program at TargetSmart by helping to define and verifying the implementation of data security policies and representing TargetSmart in the broader data security community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the security compliance program for the company.
  • Assist in the development of the company-wide data security strategy and plans.
  • Work with stakeholders across the company to draft, update, and publish company data security policies.
  • Provide expert opinion on data security policies and ensure that these are updated based upon the new security trends, customer needs, incident trends and legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Review client and business partner contract security requirements to balance risk reduction with implementation costs and compliance, and update language in those contracts as necessary.
  • Maintain regular communications with clients and business partners to survey compliance with contractual security requirements, understand changing needs and desires, and share security awareness information
  • Create and operate a security compliance knowledgebase, and ensure a prompt and timely answer to all security related questions from clients and business partners.
  • Create data security compliance dashboard to track through resolution any data security action items.
  • Provide regular status updates to show workload and progress to completion of security compliance action items to company leadership.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory requirement changes and best practices in data security compliance control.
  • Assist in the development and exercising of the company-wide security incident response plan.
  • Assess new business proposals for data security risks.

  • Strong background educating and discussing compliance and risk management with customers, business partners and internal staff and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of information security and risk management standards such as SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 Certification.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Data Processing Workflow Developer

A TargetSmart Data Processing Workflow Developer assists in the generation and maintenance of Data Products and utilizes a technical skillset to add efficiencies to Data Products processes.  The Junior Data Product Developer works as a member of the Data Product Build team to ensure that we construct high-quality and impactful data products for our clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates, documents, supports and manages processes that build, maintain, and update voter registration lists and other data products.
  • Tests and audits data product processes.
  • Reviews existing and planned applications with a focus towards adding efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supports processes that audit and validate data sources.
  • Responds to requests for information/trouble-shooting of supported applications.
  • Supports processing of data for internal and external client support work and delivery.
  • Assists in organizing and archiving of all product related files.

Systems Engineer

Job Description:

TargetSmart is looking for a versatile Systems Engineer to assist the IT Team with systems administration and internal development projects. The Systems Engineer will be expected to own tasks assigned to them as well as any research necessary to drive these tasks to completion. In addition, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for tech support when called upon. This position requires a comfort level with interacting and working with stakeholders on a person-to-person basis.

Working within a small team, there will be ample opportunities to provide technical input and recommendations on an array of IT projects with exposure throughout the company.

Systems Engineer Job Duties:

  • Lead systems administration efforts for Windows environments and AWS infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain internal applications integrations utilizing various enterprise APIs and scripting programming languages
  • Develop and maintain client facing full stack web applications from infrastructure all the way to testing
  • Troubleshoot service interruptions
  • Provide occasional tier 2 end user technical support
  • Assist with data backup and disaster recovery planning and implementations
  • Assist with ongoing cybersecurity efforts

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in either of the following:
    • Systems integration scripting using various APIs
    • Windows/Linux/AWS Administration
    • Full stack web development (python, php, js/jquery, HTML/CSS, WordPress, SQL)
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services’ offerings
  • Comfortable interacting with large datasets on multiple platforms
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity frameworks and practices
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Intacct, Clarizen, Office365 APIs
